Emmanuel and the Fear @ Bradford Playhouse
Customer Stories

Prior to the event, we were expecting the full 11 piece band who have been gaining quite a following and getting glowing reviews from music critics and named as band of the day in the Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/mar/19/new-band-emanuel-and-the-fear).
Upon arrival at the venue, we were informed that only 8 of the members were touring which meant we had to hastily revise our stage layout plans which was no problem at all (it's always easier to remove microphones than add new ones). There had been an all night dance music event the previous night and the equipment for this was still on the stage so before we could get started, we needed to enlist some very hung over DJ's to help us move the gear.
The only difficult part of the setup for this gig was that the equipment had to be taken up 2 flights of narrow stairs to reach the auditorium. Once the van was unloaded, and the equipment taken up, we set to work setting up the stage which took no time at all.
Come the evening, as people started to arrive, the first few acts passed with much appreciation from the audience, and then the auditorium really started to fill up for the main act. With the lower level in front of the stage full, some people had to settle for viewing the gig from the balcony level.
After the lively show, people we know from around the Bradford music scene were very complimentary about the sound quality, with one saying "this is the best gig I've seen yet at the Playhouse, the sound was superb!". The band also came to thank us at the end and said that from their perspective, the monitor mix was perfect and they felt it went really well.
Reloading the equipment went reasonably quickly, we started to pack away immediately after the last attendee had left and within 2 hours we were fully packed away, loaded into the van and heading back to base.
